A certain family in Milwaukee received a special Christmas gift in a form of getting back their two missing dogs, all thanks to a bus driver. The County Transit System driver, Jamie Grabowski, was on the last lap for the day at midnight heading to the garage when she spotted the lost puppies and rescued them.

Saving the puppies

She called out for the two puppies and tried to make a connection with them while inviting them into the bus, as seen on the bus’s surveillance video. She stopped the bus and got out to direct the two dogs, a Doberman Pinscher, and Pitbull, into the bus. Jamie informed the dispatches that she needed to board the pooches so as to take them out of the risky road and get them home.

Here is the video of the dog on the bus.

Protecting the dogs from the harsh weather

Jamie, who believes that she is a ‘dog whisperer,’ wondered how the dogs would cope in the 200 F freezing weather conditions. Therefore, she engaged the dogs in playful activity to keep them warm as they waited for the authorities to arrive.

Jammie was glad that she got that chance to save the dogs. After a few minutes, the policeman took the dogs into his patrol car and drove the dogs to Milwaukee’s Domestic Animal Control Commission facility, where they contacted the dog’s family to inform them of their puppies’ recovery.

The dogs reunited with their owner

The dog’s owner, Stephanie Gomez, confirmed that the dogs ran away when her mother allowed them to go outside. Within a matter of seconds, the dogs were nowhere in sight after she let them out. The driver rescued the dogs 2.5 miles away, and the family was appreciative of her kind deed.

At first, the dog’s family had lost the Christmas festive mood when their dogs ran away, but luckily the bus driver’s quick action ensured that they got to enjoy Christmas fully.
