When workers of a railroad company saw a dog in their yard one day, they were confused. They wondered how the pup made it on-site. But they were smitten because the little guy proved to be a sweet and gentle kind.
No one brought their pet to work so clearly, the dog didn’t belong to anybody. He most probably crossed the busy road and wandered around the area until he made it to the industrial area. And for whatever reason, he just decided to stay and never leave the place.
From day one, the dog, now Scooter, knew he chose the right place. The workers fed him so he never starved. He never even had to rummage the trash bins for food. But while everyone was king to him, it was clear that he needed to be somewhere else safe.
Soon, one of the workers decided to call for help and made contact with Hope For Paws Animal Rescue. He watched a lot of the group’s rescue videos and he knew that if someone would be able to catch and help the dog, it would be Eldad, the lead rescuer. He provided all the necessary detail and the rescuer did not disappoint.
Eldad headed out as soon as he got the notification. Once he was in the company yard, he saw Scooter, sleeping in the parking lot. He grabbed a leash and a net, which he intended to use to catch the dog, but within seconds, the pup disappeared.
He looked everywhere and the workers pointed him in the right direction. He saw how comfortable Scooter felt around everyone and he hoped that they’d be able to catch the pup. But at that moment, the dog kept his distance, and he refused to let anyone touch him.
It took a little while but in the end, Scooter was safe. He received medical care at the animal clinic and continued to his foster home right after.
With the outstanding help of L.A. Animal Rescue, Scooter soon found his new home. It was his dream to have a family of his own, and it finally came true.
