Most people would turn a blind eye whenever they see a stray dog. However, many of these dogs need forever homes and someone to care for them. Although dogs are resilient creatures, they don’t fare well as strays and they need humans to help them live better lives.
A man named Ying was walking in the streets of Singapore when he noticed a black puppy, who was later named Rosie, laying down on the water in a drain. When Ying got closer to have a look, Rosie was so weak that she didn’t even try to stand up and run away. Thankfully, Ying decided to do something about the poor pup and took her to the veterinarian.
At the vet, Ying learned that Rosie was so emaciated because of illness and hunger. Rosie was given a bath at the vet to get rid of the ticks and fleas infesting her tiny body and she also got treatment for her illness. Rosie was also fed.
After the vet got the result for Rosie’s blood tests, it showed that Rosie was suffering from multiple infections and it was highly unlikely that she would never survive. However, Ying refused to give up on Rosie and decided that he would do everything to help Rosie survive.
So, Ying took Rosie home where he and his family took care of her. For the first couple of days, Rosie was still too weak and there were times that Ying and his family thought that Rosie might not wake up the next day. However, their efforts to save Rosie paid off and Rosie started to recover.
It took a few more days but Rosie eventually learned to stand up on her own and walk again. With the help of Ying and his family, Rosie was finally able to walk and run like the other dogs. Now, Rosie is a very happy dog with a lot of energy and love.
Rosie may have had a rough start in life but thanks to Ying and his family, she got her chance to live the life that she deserved. Ying can’t imagine life without Rosie anymore and he’s glad that he gave Rosie a chance. Here’s a heartwarming video featuring Rosie’s story.
