A 9-month-old Rough Collie, Duncan is a great inspiration to dogs and humans. He was in an awful condition when he was only a few weeks old. Fortunately, he recovered and eventually became the star of the 2020 Puppy Bowl.

New hope

Duncan was among approximately 130 animals saved from a risky business in Solon, Maine. The unfortunate animals were in bad shape, and they all needed immediate medical attention. The dogs were rescued from a kennel where they lacked food and safety.

Duncan was one of more than 60 canines brought to the Animal Refuge League, a non-profit rescue organization. They were all given the medical attention they needed. Fortunately, most dogs grew up to be strong and safe despite their horrific experiences. In addition, several of them found good families.

Once Duncan recovered and settled into a loving foster home, the Animal Refuge League team completed a Puppy Bowl entry for him and two other puppies. Luckily, Duncan made was accepted into Team Fluff’s starting roster.

Victory for Duncan

Duncan shone brightly during the 2020 Puppy Bowl. He was a critical member of the lineup, and his adorable puppy face attracted many admirers. In the end, Team Fluff triumphed, making Duncan incredibly proud.

Duncan was an adorable teammate, and his tale inspired many people. His performance was on behalf of all the rescue pets needing a forever family.

Duncan already had found the perfect home before making his television debut. Duncan initially met the Herricks since their neighbor was the one who fostered him. After spending quality time with the dog, the family realized he was the ideal companion for them and their older rescue canine.

Duncan was a star on the Puppy Bowl, and after he was able to come home to a loving family. Hopefully, his rise to stardom has highlighted the importance of dog rescue to the world.
