One cold morning, a man who is on his way to work spotted six tiny puppies that need help.

The hairless pups huddled together, and they are so young from being away by their mom. Their skin was very pink and dry that they don’t look like dogs anymore.

The Good Samaritan took the dogs to the nearest animal care facility in Sylacauga, Alabama, where employers were shocked by the ill-treatment the tiny puppies had experienced.

Nicole Zaguroli, a staff of the Second City Rescue Center, said that the puppies had a foul smell that employees need to put on masks when they bathe them. She also added that the dogs were in bad condition, and they even had scabies and were undernourished.

The pup’s lack of hair made determining their breed difficult. However, the employees of the facility knew that the puppies were of a smaller kind since they only weighed five pounds.

Jacquie Cobb saw a post on Facebook from the animal shelter asking for help for the puppies’ complete medical care. Cobb knew she needs to do something. So, she took the dogs to Auburn Veterinary College where the puppies are being treated for scabies and put in foster shelters.

In addition, Zaguroli said that two foster homes stepped up and decided to split the dogs between them. Since these puppies need urgent care to meet their needs, these two foster homes are indeed their savior.

With proper meals and medicated baths, their health improved well. Slowly, white wavy fur started to grow on their bodies. However, there is still a question as to what breed to file on their adoption posting online.

The staff believed that these pups were of poodle/Great Pyrenees breed since they have less curly hair.

However, as the dogs began to gain weight quickly, it was made clear that they are opposite on what the staff had thought before.

Fortunately, one of the adopters performed a DNA test with the puppies and disclosed the result with them that the pups were 100% Great Pyrenees.

In just a matter of months, the dogs turned into active and healthy dogs.
