Dogs are known to always stay by their owners’ side, even amid tough and difficult challenges.
Vince Matteson, hailing from Portland, Oregon, has a golden retriever who was caught by the security camera trying to climb the roof where Matteson was at that time.
This pup owner has two golden retrievers, namely, Ace and Bo, both of which are described as very good boys. Ace was still young when Matteson got him, whereas Bo was from Golden Bond Rescue. They are both now 2 years old.
Matteson was putting away his Christmas decors from the rooftop when suddenly Ace came to help out and surprised his owner up there.
Fortunately, a security camera recorded the brave pup, climbing the same ladder his human used just to get to the rooftop. On the other hand, Bo was not so eager to do the same, so he just stayed down and watched Ace climb up.
When Matteson found out, he immediately called his roommate for help so they could all, including Ace, go down the ladder safely.
In his Instagram post, Matteson first posted the footage of Ace climbing the ladder in reverse. Thus, it seemed like he was going down the ladder instead of climbing up.
A few days later, the dog owner revealed to the public the real video and caught his followers by surprise. They were amazed by how Ace got to climb the ladder and even Matteson’s roommate for heroically carrying the golden retriever and going down the ladder.
The roommate, who was wearing Crocs at that time, jokingly said that it was the real hero since it had a very good grip; hence, they did not slip and simply went down that ladder without a problem.
