In Nashua, New Hampshire, Alex Dunhom and her family live in a peaceful neighborhood. One day, her dad noticed their neighbor building a wheelchair ramp that ends on their yard instead of the driveway. Her dad was puzzled by the ramp, for him it was more reasonable to put in the driveway. He just couldn’t figure it out

Weeks have passed and Alex’s dad still couldn’t wrap his head around the idea. Until one day in November when he saw what seems to be a little bear coming up the ramp. It’s not really a bear though, it was the neighbors chunky aged Chocolate Labrador. Her name is Nestle and she is thirteen and a half years in age.

As per her owner, Nestle had gone through a lot. Ever since she was just a little pup, she already had numerous health problems. They were even told that she won’t be reaching the age of 7 but look at her now still fighting and full of life. Though Nestle is a fighter her owner said she needs help now. She is not as strong as she used to be and cannot climb stairs. So, they came up with the idea of creating a ramp for her.

Her owner even shared that they had to line the ramp with an outdoor carpet. You see, Nestle doesn’t walk on wood so they had to staple some carpet. They also shared that despite Nestle’s age she is still very happy. She still does all the things she loves, and they support her in any way they could.

The ramp is a clear sign of Nestle’s owners love for her. That extra mile to make her comfortable and happy. As of today, she has various medications and supplements, but her family still hopes she lives a long life with them.
