Ruby Jane is a 5-year-old burly bloodhound owned by Stephanie Vice, a veterinary technician, together with her husband, Matthew. Despite being a huge dog, Ruby Jane is as sweet as candy when it comes to the little ones.

Read on to see how Ruby Jane became a mother to one of the rescue kittens.

The rescue kitten in the video was named Bodie. It’s his first time ever to have a bath when the video was taken. Therefore, it is reasonable to get nervous in the beginning.

Yet, Ruby Jane is to the rescue. She ensures Bodie that things will be okay after his first bath. She comforts the little one by patting its head twice!

You can hear at the background that Stephanie was also amazed at how Ruby Jane cheered Bodie. She kept asking the giant dog if it is her baby she was trying to pet. Ruby Jane answered the question by patting Bodie’s head carefully, though it was too huge for the kitten’s head.

Not only did Ruby Jane patted its head, but she also watched Bodie closely at the sink. It was like she had to be there, or else her baby would cry out loud without her mama.

Stephanie cheered Ruby Jane, too, on being a mama. She said, “Say, ‘It’s Okay,’ Say, ‘It’s okay little cat – it’s just a bath,'” in a sweet tone.

Since it is an extraordinary bonding of the two, their video became an internet sensation that has more than 8,600,000 views after Stephanie shared the video online.

Bodie is a 5-week-old American wirehair kitty from a local SPCA no-kill shelter. Actually, Bodie has two more siblings; however, it’s Bodie that Ruby Jane has a special bond since Stephanie and Matthew brought the three kittens.

Based on Stephanie, it’s been five years since they started to foster little kittens and afterward will open up for adoption. In fact, the three American wirehair kitties are the 107th kitty they had since then.

And most of their foster kittens have already met Ruby Jane. Since then, Ruby Jane has a soft heart for the little kittens. She used to play with them not until Bodie came, she suddenly became a mama, who loves her child so much.
