A dog shaking hands with a lion, a cat being a mother to a puppy, and a dog being friends with a cheetah are some mixed-species relationships that are widely spread thanks to social media. Added to that list is the viral video on Facebook last year.

lion with dog, lion, dog

Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden posted a video on Facebook showing an unusual relationship between a dog and a cheetah. The video went viral, being shared multiple times and receiving over seven hundred thousand views on social media.
The cheetah cub Kris and a rescue puppy named Remus met for the first time in September last year. Kris was the sole survivor of his mother’s offspring when the zoo decided to take care of him instead. Since he is the only cheetah cub, they need to find him a companion to keep him company.
They partnered her with a rescue puppy named Remus and became inseparable. They always hang out together and run around in one of the zoo’s areas. The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden posted videos of the two on its social media account.
But the video that caught the eyes and hearts of the netizens is the video of their cuddling. In the video, you can see their closeness with each other. In the caption, the snuggling happened after their play outside.
The game they always play is chasing each other in the field. When they got inside the vicinity, they cuddled together as if it was natural between them. In the video posted, Kris, the cheetah, is licking the dog’s face, Remus, and Remus lets him.
