Cats, they say, are curious creatures. Dogs, not quite. But the dog in this story is intent on proving that assumption wrong.
Meet this curious dog named Lima. Some months ago she was adopted by Anna Carolina Lima. Luna used to be a stray dog, scavenging on the streets of Brazil.
From the time Anna spotted Luna, she knew she had to give the dog a permanent home. And Luna was more than happy to comply. Anna raises Luna with her fiance.
Luna lives in a loving home with her doting humans. To say her life had changed for the better would be an understatement.
After spending sufficient bonding time with her immediate humans, Luna was taken to the house of Anna’s grandma. Anna wanted the dog to meet what would be her extended human family. She knew her grandma would love Luna and vice versa.
Luna quickly got comfortable in grandma’s house. This made Anna feel at ease. Too at ease that she decided to go out for a lunchtime errand, leaving Luna behind at grandma’s house.
Anna’s lunchtime errand coincided with grandma’s grandmotherly nap. She took out her dentures and tucked them under her pillow as per usual. She then went straight to la la land.
Apparently, Luna saw grandma’s pre-naptime ritual. Apparently, the dog got curious about what grandma pulled out of her mouth and hid under the pillow. The dog mischievously stole grandma’s dentures while the old lady was asleep.
Grandma woke up to her missing dentures. She spent hours looking for it but to no avail. When Anna came home to the news of grandma’s missing dentures, she had a nagging suspicion.
True enough, Luna was responsible. And not only that, the dog was wearing grandma’s dentures proudly. It took a while before Anna convinced Luna to give up the dentures and settle with her cute and all-natural doggy smile.
