One morning, a group of close friends was walking their doggies in a plaza in Oklahoma when suddenly they observed a little puppy resting in the meadow.

The puppy was skinny and losing some fur on his body. He appeared so defeated. The moment the pup saw the group, he was happy and began to follow them. And the group decided that they could not just leave the dog behind.

The group planned to bring the little pup directly to the veterinary clinic to be inspected and browsed for a microchip. Unfortunately, the puppy did not have a chip. So, they decided to keep him for almost two weeks.

They also posted on social media about him and searched everywhere to look for his owners. However, they failed to find the pup’s real home. Therefore, they started to look for his new family.

Among the group of friends who discovered the pup on the park were Jacob Bywater and Katy. The two were looking for a dog to be adopted. So, their friends suggested if they can take the puppy. Although they did not know any information about him, they had a strong feeling that this pup was destined to be their pet.

Katy and Jacob named the pup as Strider and gladly welcomed him to their home. Initially, he was so shy and appeared not uninterested in playing. At that time, he was about ten weeks old, and it was found out that he was probably a beagle and red healer mix and would not grow any bigger.

The couple was very excited knowing that Strider was of a smaller breed since they are looking for this kind of dog. However, as weeks passed by, they observed that Strider became bigger and bigger.

So, Katy and Jacob bought a DNA test apparatus, and so they discovered that Strider was of a red heeler and Great Pyrenees. As expected, this new information didn’t change their feeling about him. Strider is still a significant part of the family.

Strider appears getting bigger each day. Also, he now grows into a cheerful dog who keeps on running around the house and having fun with his loved ones.
