We usually see shy behaviors in newcomers, but not in this German Shepherd named Bella. She certainly didn’t have a problem getting settled in her new home.
The German Shepherd newcomer met Maltese Shih Tzu named Douglas, and they didn’t quite start on the right paw.
From what we can tell from this photo series, Douglas didn’t appreciate Bella’s nosy ways. He certainly tried to convey that, and we understand why he felt that way.
When Bella began to chew on Douglas’s bed, the affronted dog pulled his property out of the newcomer’s reach. Douglas gave Bella this unmistakable look.
The German Shepherd appeared not to care at all. Douglas gave his hooman owner a curious look, and it’s like he was telling his owner to do something about this whole thing.
We understand where both dogs are coming from. While they seem not to be on the same page, it’s just normal for canines to establish boundaries.
We’d like to know where this little confrontation led to, but we’re just stoked that neither dog seemed to hold a grudge against the other.
Perhaps Bella received a new bed of her own, so hopefully, she doesn’t chew on his older brother’s anymore.
Funny encounter
We hope these two become good buddies soon. For now, let’s just be happy that Douglas and Bella are both safe and sound, with no fears or worries held in their hearts.
We will never forget Douglas’s look of frustration, nor Bella’s I-don’t-care attitude. From what we just saw, they could get along well despite their many differences.
